I was told that masturbation was wrong. Every day of my childhood was riddled with yelling, spanking and being called names but I never have forgotten my father slapping me because I masturbated. The majority of my worst experiences of my life was when I was little and was caught in the act and slapped for it. I am sure a lot of other girls and women has been through the same thing. Why are parents so pissed at their daughter for doing it but they "look away" when their sons do it? Not only that (drawing from the vaginal orgasm myth) girls don't just "finger" themselves. Sorry, but ah, most of our pleasure comes from the clitoris. Just that ignorance towards that fact makes me so annoyed.

So why is it when boys do it, it's normal but (omg) a girl does it she gets slapped? Oh yeah, I forgot girls have to be 'good' and not engage in sexual activity with themselves. Girls aren't supposed to be in charge of their sexuality/pleasure meter, their boyfriends or fathers are. It is just stupid that in this world you can't be in control of your own body. When you really should be.

Well, even though I was abused as a child, mostly for masturbating, I still do it. Yep, I had always known it was okay to masturbate. How something that is fun, enjoyable, and freeing can be so wrong?

I know that 'clicking the mouse' is the least talked about sexual activity between girls but it should be. I think masturbation is a normal thing every girl does or at least should do. So if you are a girl or young woman who was told that engaging in some one on one with yourself was wrong. Don't listen to them; do it anyway. I promise you that you will feel better.
