You Don't Shave!?

I have wanted to create a blog of this nature before. I am not sure on how to start, but I will start by talking about my last girlfriend. My ex never shaved. I thought it was sexy. Her leg hair was like 3 inches long. Mine was cut short. I had always asked my Mom when I was little 'Why do women shave?' The only real answer she gave me was its tradition. Now, being a non-conformist dresser and just well, rebel, I decided shaving is over-rated.

When I told one of my guy acquaintances about my ex, he shivered and said, I quote, "Yuck, that’s disgusting." (Note: don't date a guy like this. They want you to be perfect and be sexy by their impossible standards).

I could care less whether my girlfriend shaved. Be it armpits, leg hair or the Oh-Uh parts. It’s her body, not mine, so I don't care. By default, my boyfriend or girlfriend shouldn't care about my unshaved parts. The greatest thing about my lover is that he really doesn't care and when he does mention the hairy problem I tell him he can shave it if he wants. He declines.

Why, I brought it up was, shaving in my opinion is a big ole' waste of time. If you want to do it, it should be your choice. If you don't you shouldn't be seen as less sexy. Hey, guys don't shave, and when they do all they have to worry about is the bit on the face. Before I had met my last girlfriend I had felt the seemingly out-of-the-nowhere need to shave. She helped me become more aware of what I made myself go through every couple of days. It doesn't make you more or less of a woman if you do or don't shave. It doesn't make you more or less sexy if you do or don't. It’s your choice not your partners. It’s your choice not your families or the guys at school. It’s your body not theirs.
