Game Review-Fable 2

In the first game in the series Fable: the Lost Chapters the role playing character can only be a guy. In Fable 2 you can be a female. This isn’t the only reason behind this entry. My reasoning is the game is pro-LGBT, pro-polygamous, and pro-equality. The game has villagers who are bisexual, lesbian, polygamous, etc. You can get a same sex marriage or be polygamous, or have sex with whoever you want as long as they are willing to. Being a gay, bisexual or lesbian is totally ok (or pansexual!), in the game. You can also make a family with your chosen lover. I am not sure about same-sex couples having kids in the game; I don't think it’s possible. I am sure this is because the time that the game is set in. Your female character can be buffed out like a male character and villagers will think you are more attractive muscled out! She can do everything that a male character can do. There really is no difference between a female Fable 2 character and a male one just that they have a different sex.

There is also a quest for a gay male and his father. His father wants his son to get married to a nice girl, but when you talk to the son he tells you that he prefers men. And if you get a guy for him he tells his dad the truth and his dad was perfectly ok with it. They decide that they want to move to the city and the farm is yours!!! There is another quest for a transvestite; you need to kill all the Hobbes (evil creatures that were once children) in his cave.

Another awesome addition to the game is that the Hero of Strength is a woman. Hannah or Hammer is a pacifist monk and then becomes the Hero of Strength.

The last Hero is the Hero of Skill, who just happens to be bisexual. Reaver isn't even ashamed by it; he just comes out to you when you and he are escaping danger together by means of a secret tunnel under the Bloodstone mansion.

I just think that it’s great that a company finally puts women as well as LGBT folks in there too it makes it all the more enjoyable.

Note: this entry is about the game from my perspective if you want more info here is the link to the wikipedia entry on it- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fable_II
