Woman on the Moon

I had this very interesting idea which is connected to my other post about this subject. Why does Wicca have the moon as the Goddess symbol? I am sure it has something to do with the founder (and yes, he is the founder), Gerald Gardner and his ceremonial magic leanings. That's why, once again I am not going to see the moon has feminine power.

I reject the idea that the moon is the symbol of the Goddess and women. The moon reflects the light of another; it is dependent on the sun to bring light into it. This 'symbol' of female power is incorrect.

I see the God Herself as everything and nothing. The Universe itself but also Zero (not there).

So instead of seeing the moon as just the Goddess' symbol and the sun has just the God's (typical Wiccan symbolism). I am going to see the planets as both or neither. Just seeing the moon as an overall symbol for the female sex is not only limiting it is downright rude.

More on this subject on the post above.
