Today and yesterday it's been very smokey here in Maine. When I found out that all the smoke was coming from Canada, I almost tripped.
I got a letter from Olympia Snow about appealing the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy. Yeepeee! I'm so happy!

Ten year old girl! I can't believe it. To deny a ten year old her abortion rights is just horrible. Doesn't anybody know that this pregnancy and birth will probably kill her? Not to mention her mental health will be affected as well.
What about the Pagan prisoners?
Last night I had a conversation with an employee of USM about the lack of book donations to the local prisons. She said what had helped her through jail was the Bible. And then I thought, what about the Pagan prisoners? I have some Pagan/New Age books that I am willing to let go of. I might change some one's life for the better with the books that represent their religion.
