I am reading T.Thorn Coyle's book Kissing the Limitless and I was introduced to world of self-integration. I wanted to create an entry dedicated to it. I am a young; a beginner Feminist Witch but I know that self-possession would be a something that an activist could use and may help them.
I am beginning to think that I have all this time to train myself. I am going to take baby steps. Self-possession takes time and practice. Self-possession is the integration of the self; the whole self. It is being fully aware and connecting all three selves as one. I learned what that those three selves are Sacred Dove, Shining Body, and the Sticky One. The Sacred Dove is your Higher Self. The self that is closest to Divinity. The Shining Body is the self that is closest to your mind. Your Sticky One is the one that is closest to your inner child; actually it is your inner child. Through meditation and ritual work I can try to become whole by connecting all my selves as one.
I always hear about this burn out phase in feminist's lives, but I might have an advantage. Magic is a Witch's best friend. I know that the Goddess has set me on this path for a reason. I must have to do work for Her. Self-possession is a stepping stone to help me to be full and ensure my service to the Goddess.
